Overall

☆ Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?
More! Way more! To put it into perspective, I wrote more than twice the words that I wrote last year!! How would I have thought that I'd double that and then some.

☆ What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
Mamamoo and Momoland for fandom probably. I am still unsure on what I ended up writing, characterization wise, but it was super fun! Pairing... Either Bora/Handong or Siyeon/Gahyeon (both for Dreamcatcher), and wow how much do I like them now! Genre wise I have been very traditional, deciding to enjoy the fluff.

☆ What’s your own favorite story of the year?
I can't believe that I am having a hard time with this one, but... Probably "From now on". With Hakyeon going to the military, and VIXX deciding to keep going as VIXX I had a lot of warm feelings inside and while this doesn't even begin to cover it, I am very very happy with the result. It was somehow cathartic.

☆ Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Not a lot. I joined more fests, and I did my own because it's okay if the only ones participating are a couple of friends, as long as it is enjoyable. I did pay more attention to what I wanted to write, and I have been working on something that I wanted to write... for me. Writing for others is fun and my writing drive but I think my risk for the year is keep learning to write for myself.

☆ Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Work on consistency. I don't want to get burned out but I think I like the constantly having something to work on (and makes the tackling on fest fics slightly easier). Writing is a muscle, they say. Also I would like to write some Seulrene, if the chance comes by.

☆ My goals from last year were to write more for myself! I think I accomplished it, even if not to the rate I would have liked (I still have two stories I would have liked to at least start), I do have things written for me, because I wanted to see them exist in thishe world.

★ My best story of this year
Best is a difficult thing to measure. I have no idea what is my best story. I have no best story, all of them are good for themselves.

★ My most popular story of this year
Best kind of feeling (VIXX, neo) is the one that got more kudos. Because it was in Olymfics? Probably. But not complaining about that.

★ Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion
why are you hesitating (Weki meki, gen, the girls have a water fight), because it's gen and short and I get why it is under-appreciated but it's my baby and I love it.

★ Most fun story to write
Probably We can turn the world to gold (Dreamcatcher, Sua/Handong) It was interesting to write a story where the question was not "when are they going to be together?"

★ Story with the single sexiest moment
Yellow light. The whole fic is full of that kind of tension that is just so good, or well, that I like so much!

★ Most “Holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story
For the second year in a row, I'm too vanilla for this to be properly filled. The weirdest thing would be the post apocalyptic coffee shop au (falling world of genesis, Dreamcatcher, gen)

★ Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters
we spend our lives searching (LOONA, Vivi centric). I admit I did not know much about them personality wise so of coure this helped me shape some :D

★ Hardest story to write
That would be Best kind of feeling. I still had the enlistment very recent and it was hard to breach this topic and to make it go to a happy conclusion.

★ Biggest disappointment
All the nights that I wanted to write and couldn't, all the fics I could not finish. The waterfight neo fic I have about to finish, with wet make out in the kitchen, that will have to wait for a little more.

★ Biggest surprise
Honey, you're my golden star. Fairytale au!! Really fun to write, really different from what I usually write. Still super fluff, though.

☆ Favourite Opening Lines (3)

This is a story about a princess that did not want to marry.
There are many of those stories, you must think. And in a lot of ways, this story is not unlike others. That is correct.
However, magic hides in the details.
And this one, my dear, is a story full of magic.
Wonshik is not sure what is the combination of choices that he has taken to get where he is right now, on Jaehwan’s fancy car, on his way to his newly bought house where he has yet to move in, the memory of Jaehwan’s lips on his own still so fresh.
“Experts say that making good coffee is an art. Everyone can read instructions, but not every person can make good coffee.”

☆ Favourite Closing Lines (3)

"Until then," Sanghyuk speaks now, and he does it like he knows exactly how much this is affecting him. Like they all know. "we will keep VIXX safe. And we'll going to wait for you to come back."

(When manager unnie comes back later to drive them home she is not even surprised to see them tangled in some kind of savage tickle fight in the middle of the car, bra thrown on roughly the same spot where they found it in the first place.)

Taekwoon, sitting in one of the coffee tables, three cats in his lap and two more on the table, all of them demanding attention from him
Not that she’s being dramatic, but if there’s any proof that god exists, it’s that.
“If that was an offer, I do volunteer,” Eunbi says, airport clothes on and tired eyes and here.
Wonshik wakes up to sunlight and an empty bed and a soreness that makes him smile despite himself when he stretches out.
“First of all, it’s not bestiality if it’s interspecies erotica,” Siyeon manages to answer with the most solemn face she can. Which, to be fair, is not a lot. “Second of all,” she continues, getting up to give herself more time to compose herself. She leans into Gahyeon’s space to pick up her empty mug from her hands and that’s when she whispers, “don’t knock it until you try it.”
